Project summary: Life and Pensions systems consolidation and redevelopment
This long-established life and pensions company (est. 1852!) is currently undergoing a major upgrade of its policy admin package and consolidating both old and new-book business onto one system.
Amethyst is there to project manage the In-House Systems work-stream which covers development and delivery of satellite systems and interfaces - both new builds and legacy. Development is being carried out using in-house teams - hybrid teams of internal IT resource augmented with specialist contractors - and external software houses.
- New build systems include; Agency & Commissions, MGM-Workflow using Sharepoint WSS and Reassurance Reporting
- Legacy interfaces are largely mainframe-based and due for replacement. They include; Barclays bank payments files, AUDDIS, Icon unit pricing.
