The CRISALIS project was set-up to implement a third-party Cargo Revenue Accounting package.Amethyst has worked on package selection, implementaion, training and process re-engineering.
In a wide-ranging consulting role, Amethyst worked through the life-cycle of
- Invitation to Tender (ITT)
- supplier evaluation & selection
- functional specification
- package tailoring through to implementation
Principal responsibilities were
Data capture workstream -
- defining and mapping data and process interfaces between revenue accounting and cargo operations, to establish accounting package and process requirements. Carried out through interviews, site visits and workshops with staff across BA World Cargo
Core accounting workstream -
- defining and mapping data and process interfaces between revenue accounting and cargo finance; internal accounting controls; accruals, charging and payments to partner airlines.
- work-shops with users across BA Cargo to define accounting and reporting requirements;
- developed of the application architecture with consultants from SECOR
Business change workstream -
- produced the business change route map and methodology for transition to new processes and organisation.
- conducted benchmarking visits to Emirates, American and Canadian Pacific Airlines.
- work-shops with users and management within Cargo Revenue to define process and organisation development
- member of Operational Review Board overseeing package implementation.
